Physics 20 - Sept 30

In Period 2 today we started looking at photometry and how we measure light.  I defined the terms of luminous flux and illuminance and we looked at an example where we calculated the illuminance.  Tomorrow we are going to continue on with this, and look at intensity and as well as a relationship between intensity and illuminance.  We will finish the class with Homework 2.3.  

In Period 4, we are one class behind period 2.  So today we learned about the the speed of light and astronomical distances.  I assigned Homework 2.2 at the end of the day today and I will check it tomorrow. Tomorrow we will start photometry.   

As well I would like to have everyone hand in their topics for their major project. Most students have done so but some have not.  Please ensure that this is done by tomorrow.
