Welcome to October everyone. Today we looked at the mathematical approach to adding vectors together, a technique called vector resolution. This method involves using trig functions and Pythagoras Theorem. We looked at a couple of examples of calculating components and finding the resultant vector. In Period 5, we were able to get to Assignment 2.2, but in Period 1, we were interrupted by the Grad meeting and were not able to make it to Assignment 2.2.
Tomorrow in class we will continue on and start looking at using these techniques to solve relative motion problems.
