“Nano Technology”

SUB: Student Seminar – cum - workshop – Paper Presentation – Invitation- Reg

ALPHA (Andhra Loyola PHysics Association) is organizing a week – long State level inter-collegiate student seminar on “Nano- Technology”. It is a competition to be conducted exclusively for all B.Sc. Students in order to enhance their interest in recent trends in science and technology and also to bring out the hidden talents in them.
We invite two students from each college, and they have to present a paper each on the day of preliminary rounds. The students selected in the preliminary rounds will be invited to the finals, which will be held on 1-9-2007 in the seminar hall of our college.

The preliminary round for your college is to be held on 30-8-2007 at 9.30 AM in the Physics lab.

Please confirm the participation of your students on or before 20-08-2007.

Important Note
1. Last date for accepting entries is 20-08-2007. Please mention the name(s) of the participants and their respective topics clearly and also indicate the contact phone numbers. The entries should be sent to:

2. The participants who have sent their entries may directly report at Physics Department, ALC on the specified date of preliminary round. Unless any change is there no further communication will be sent.
3. The maximum time given for each Presentation is 10 minutes followed by 2 minutes of interaction with the audience. A copy of paper must be submitted on the same day.
4. From each section of preliminary rounds, two participants will be selected for the finals. From the finals, the best three presentations will be awarded prizes. A special certificate from The Director, UGC-ASC, S.V.University will also be given to the winners.
5. Each participant will be given a certificate of participation.
6. Content, Expressions, Presentation, Use of Teaching Aids (Visual aid / OHP / Power point, etc) and language are some of the areas of assessment.
7. The participants who would like to use Computer are advised to bring their soft copy of the presentation in CD / Pen Drive.
8. No T.A / D.A will be paid and no entry fee will be collected.
9. The candidates must bring a letter of authorization from the Principal of their college.
10. A moderate Dormitory accommodation will be provided for outstation participants on prior request. However, they have to meet their expenses towards boarding etc.
