STATE LEVEL SEMINAR ON
“SPACE PHYSICS ”
As a part of the annual activity of ALPHA (Andhra Loyola Physics Association), the Department of Physics, Andhra Loyola College is organizing a state level inter collegiate student seminar on "Space Physics" for B.Sc students from 5th to 10th January 2009. The preliminary rounds will be held in the Physics Laboratory and finals will be held on 10th January 2009 in the Seminar hall of our college.
A special certificate from "The Director, UGC-ASC, SV University, Tirupati" will be given to the winners.
We invite TWO students from each college and they have to present a paper each on the day of preliminary rounds.
Interested students may confirm their participation on or before 30th Dec 2009.

Last date for accepting entries is 30th Dec, 2008.

No T.A / D.A will be paid and there is no entry fee.
The candidates must bring a letter of authorization from the Principal of their college.
Medium of presentation should be in English.
Content, expression, presentation, use of teaching aids (Visual aids/OHP/Power point, etc.,) and language are the major areas of assessment.
The maximum time given for presenting each seminar is 10 minutes followed by 2 minutes of interaction with the audience. Copy of the paper (both hard and soft) must be submitted on the same day.
From each day of preliminary rounds, two participants will be selected for the finals. In the finals, the best three presentations will be awarded prizes.
Certificates of participation will be given to all the participants.
A special certificate from 'The Director, UGC-ASC, S.V.University" will be given to the winners.
The participants who would like to use computer are advised to bring their soft copy of the presentation in CD/DVD. It is better to keep multiple copies of the file in CD.
LCD Projector will be provided.
A moderate dormitory accommodation will be provided for out station participants on prior request. However, they have to meet their expenses towards boarding etc.,
In case of academic ties, the decision of the Dean of Sciences, Dr.G.Srinivasa Rao is final.
