Happy Halloween Everybody!!!!
Today in class we learned about static friction, a force that opposes when you are trying to move an object but it isn't yet moving. We learned that it is similar to kinetic friction, in that it relates to the surfaces in contact and the normal force. However it is different in that it is always larger than the kinetic friction. Examples 15 and 16 were covered and assignment 3.5 was given. You will have time tomorrow in class to work on Assignment 3.5. A reminder of the lab quiz tomorrow for lab 2.1. Know the analysis for the lab as well as how to do all of the calculations.
