Precautionary steps for investigation experiments ( Physics Paper 3)

1. Ticker tape

i) Make sure the tape run freely the ticket through the ticket tape.

ii)** Repeat the experiment 4 times and calculate the average.

2. Spring

i) Make sure the spring is not loaded beyond the elastic limit.

ii)*Avoid parallax error by placing the eye perpendicular to the scale of the ruler.

iii) ** Repeat the experiment 4 times and calculate the average.

3. Heat

i) Liquid must be stirred constantly so that temperature rises evenly.

ii) *Avoid parallax error by placing the eye perpendicular to the scale of the thermometer.

iii)** Repeat the experiment 4 times and calculate the average.

4. Light :-

i) Experiment must be carried out in darkened room.

ii) *Avoid parallax error by placing the eye perpendicular to the scale of the ruler.

5. Sound Wave Interference

i) Experiment must be carry out at open space to avoid echo.

ii)** Repeat the experiment 4 times and calculate the average.

6. Electric

i) All connections must be secure/ tight.

ii) Off the switch after readings are taken to prevent wires from heating uo.

iii) *Avoid parallax error by placing the eye perpendicular to the scale of the ammeter / voltmeter.

iv)** Repeat the experiment 4 times and calculate the average.

Avoid this answers :-

Physics paper 3 Tips ( question 1)

Section A
Question 1:

1. Test the students in using
of scientific measuring instrument and make the readings.

2.The students should know how to make reading in several type of measuring instrument without error, tabulate the data and draw a graph based on the data.

3. The students have to write the reading in correct d.p as theaccuracy of the instrument.

4. Draw a suitable graf based on the given title with the following ;
- Correct quantities and their unit on both axes
- Uniform scale at both axes
- Points plotted correctly
- Balance graph line
- Size of graph 5 x 4 larger squares

4. State relationship between variables from your graph.
