Physics 20 - Nov 4

Scrapbooks were handed in today.  For those students that did not hand them today, you will be deducted a late mark of 10% per day late.  Get those scrapbooks in people!!

We looked at what happens with light when it refracts through an object whose sides are not parallel.  This causes light to deviate from its original path through an angle.  This is called the angle of deviation.  An example on how to do these types of questions was taken up.  It basically comes down to the fact that you have to use Snell's Law twice, once when it enters the triangle prism and once when it leaves it.  Homework 3.3 was assigned and will be checked tomorrow.

On Wednesday, we are going to have a quiz on refraction.  It covers everything we have done so far in the 3rd unit.  Know Homework 3.2, 3.3 and Assignment 3.1.
